Patriotism


Do you want to be a valued member of your community and serve your country? For over three hundred years, the Army National Guard has come to the aid of communities during natural disasters and in other emergencies such as violent protests, the Oklahoma City Bombing, and September 11. In addition, National Guard soldiers are active members of their communities and are dedicated to helping out with local organizations. But your service won't stop at the community level. The Army National Guard has proudly served in every war from the American Revolution to Operation Iraqi Freedom. You can serve your country by helping guard and protect America's values and freedoms.

Education


Do you want to go to college but don't know how you're going to pay for it? The Army National Guard can help you with your college expenses. Programs like the The Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB) and the Army National Guard's Tuition Assistance Program can help you pay for your college degree. Many states now offer varying degrees of tuition assistance in addition to all of the other assistance we just mentioned. Some state colleges even cover 100% of your tuition if you're a member of the National Guard.

Adventure



Do you like adventure and want to see the world? Would you like to fly an Apache helicopter or operate a grenade launcher? If so, then the Army National Guard may be the place for you. You can be trained to operate high-tech equipment and use it during important missions. If you're looking for a change of scenery, Guard members serve in more than 80 countries around the world.
