FAQs
Q: Can a student request a presentation, or only teachers?
A: Students can request the program too! Go to the Get the Program section of this website and fill out an online request, or contact your local Army National Guard representative. We will then contact your teacher to schedule a presentation.
Q: I’m not interested in a classroom presentation right now, but I could use some real-word career advice. Can you help?
A: We’re glad to help you learn more about career paths and planning for life after high school. The Partners in Education website has a career mentor database that connects students with mentors in relevant fields. You can search mentors in your area by occupation, and request to meet with them one-on-one.
Q: I don’t want to join the military, so why would I participate in the YOU CAN School Program?
A: Even if your path doesn’t involve the military, you can benefit from the program. Although the program is presented by the Army National Guard, it was designed to provide a community service and help students develop important life skills that will help them now and in the future.
Q: I’m interested in learning more about the Army National Guard. Where should I go for more info?
